GreenPlay Foundation is wholly dedicated to the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action. Recognizing that climate change is a global issue that affects everyone, regardless of their location or background, we are committed to taking meaningful action to address this pressing challenge.
In addition to our focus on climate action, we are also deeply committed to our local communities, particularly those in the slum areas of Mathare, Korogocho, and others. Here, we work tirelessly to engage youth in meaningful activities that not only teach them about the pressing issues facing our world today but also keep them away from engaging in criminal activities and drug abuse.
We are acutely aware that some unscrupulous individuals exploit innocent children for drug trafficking. Therefore, by providing alternative activities and education, we strive to prevent this exploitation and empower youth to make positive choices for themselves and their communities.
Moreover, we recognize that hunger and malnutrition are widespread issues in the slum areas, exacerbated by limited access to food and imbalanced diets. Rising inflation only serves to worsen these conditions, making it increasingly difficult for families to put food on the table. As such, we intervene by ensuring that youths and children in slum areas have access to food and nutritional support, thereby contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.
In conclusion, GreenPlay Foundation is fully committed to addressing Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action. Through our holistic approach to community development, we are actively working towards creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all, one where communities are resilient in the face of climate change and all individuals have the opportunity to thrive.
