Environment

Climate change is one of the disasters affecting the twenty first century. The has been avalanche of climate change negative effects. This is not only felt in Nairobi but also across the globe. The climate action needs to be taken and it is the mandate of every individual to do so
As a foundation we are very concerned with the climate change. We have witnessed its dire effects and we do not need to be threatened further. Due to this, the foundation have rolled out very critical issues to ensure the negative effects of climate change are deal with.
One of the ways through which we do this is three plantation. The government of Kenya through its agenda, rolled out the plan to plant fifteen billion trees across the country. The people who are supposed to take part in this exercise are the youth. The slum areas of Mathare, Hutuma ,Korogocho,Babadogo and many more have a lot of youths who are very idle. The foundation role is to make these youths aware of the plan and engage them. Through this many successful tree planting have been done and more are to come.
Another exercise under this is clean ups. The city is not that clean and so is the slums areas. As a group we want to achieve clean environment for the benefits of the people around and those to come. We sweep the streets, collect the wastes and sensisitize the masses of the benefits of having to do so. Plastic pollution is one of the major pollution
in the world. Plastic are non biodegradable and thus takes a lot of time to decompose. The only way to mitigate the effect of plastic is through recycling. The slum areas have a lot of the youth who do not have any form of employment who are engaged in drug abuse. As a foundation we have harnessed and mobilised the youths who would otherwise engage in drugs and crime in ensuring that the plastic are collected and recycled. In doing so they are able to earn and provide food for their siblings and upkeep
